URBAN SCIENCE BRASS BAND reinvents hip-hop classics with full intensity. Whether in the form of a parade or an electrifying stage performance, the energy level is always high during these unique interactive performances.

Imagine a New Orleans-style marching band - trumpets, saxophones, trombones, sousaphones, tubas - with a repertoire ranging from Dr. Dre to Kendrick Lamar - complete with multilingual MCs and mobile drummers! Featuring some of Montreal's most renowned musicians in one band, its members have performed or recorded with artists such as Talib Kweli, Nelly, KRS-One, Illa J, Snarky Puppy, Erik Truffaz, Bran Van 3000 and Imhothep (IAM).

The band received the "End of the Weak" world title in 2016, as well as the "King of the Dot" award on 6 occasions. They also had the opportunity to play during The Tonight Show and saw themselves working in collaborations with Soultone Cymbals and Dream Cymbals.

Since 2017, URBAN SCIENCE BRASS BAND has been invited to residencies at the Festival de Jazz de Montreal. They are also featured in the documentary "Vacations of the Brave" available on Amazon Prime.

You can also find them through their side project: Urban Science #LECYPHER.
